Processes carried out at the plant
Tube stock and cutting
Production starts with the steel tube and bar held in stock. Tubes are cut to the length each part needs before they go on to bending.
CNC and robotic tube bending
Cut tubes are bent on CNC tube benders and in a robotic bending cell. The bend sequence, angles and distances come from a program written for the part.
Tube end forming
Tube ends are flared, beaded or swaged so that the tube seals against its nut, its fitting or the mating part.
CNC turning and machining
Nuts, nipples and connectors are turned from bar stock on CNC lathes and finished on machining centres.
Hose cutting and crimping
Hose is cut to length, fitted with its ferrules and end fittings, and crimped on the hose press.
Honing
Parts whose bore needs a precise diameter and a fine surface are finished on the honing machine.
Hose pressure testing
Hose assemblies are tested under pressure in the closed chamber of the test bench.
